The cable drama will return in 2019.
August 8, 2018
OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today that Queen Sugar has been renewed for a fourth season. The good news comes with three episodes remaining in the drama's Season 3 run, which has continued to draw praise from both viewers and critics, along with solid ratings for the cable network.
Co-created and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey, Queen Sugar follows estranged sisters who reunite in Louisiana after inheriting their father's sugarcane farm. For Season 4, writer and co-executive producer Anthony Sparks will be taking over showrunner duties from Kat Candler. The move is part of series creator Ava DuVernay's ongoing efforts to provide new opportunities to those working on the show.
New Season 3 episodes are currently airing on Wednesday nights, with an extended 90-minute season finale planned for August 22. Look for Season 4 to premiere in mid-2019.

I was responding to sweet not ted. You can't assume people are racist and don't like something because of skin color. I dislike gang rap because of content not skin color. The uk has arrested people for not being p.c. though Which is sad.

sweet is just a nonce who looks for ism's in anything and doesn't have any opinions himself

I'm from the UK Dia and nobody watches it or very few I don't really judge shows by colour otherwise I would be limited to what I could watch I think a lot of racism/sexism etc is created by PC fanatics who just look for anything to moan about.
I'm really looking forward to Spike Lee's new movie now that's some storyline.

and no skin color shouldn't matter for a story but you know how Hollywood and some people are unfortunately. it should be treated just like any other story. fortunately there are people who can look at other people's stories and can relate without having to look like them or just enjoy them. I am angry with Hollywood or the entertainment industry but maybe Ted was just referring to the ratings Maybe

What this person sweet said was in response to Ted hating on the show for saying not many watched. Maybe they thought that was the reason. Same as when women say oh we can do something just like our male counterparts. they could be wrong about Ted's reason for dissing the show but I can understand the reason for at least wondering sense some shows with black people are not liked by some for obvious reasons so how are they being racist for standing up for the show even if they might be wrong how's that racism just because you might think someone doesn't like something because of who's in it.

I like this show. It's about three sisters who must deal with each other and the plantation. I don't think their skin color matters much to the storyline.

@sweet
Please keep your this about the show's content. We don't need this to be a hate filled thread. Please keep your racism to yourself.
