The talk show will move to Saturdays in December.
November 6, 2018
After a bumpy start, ABC has pulled The Alec Baldwin Show from its schedule effective immediately. The move comes just four episodes into the new talk show's run and days following the host's arrest for misdemeanor assault in New York City.
The series premiered in October in the 10:00pm Sunday night time slot, making it the first talk show since The Jay Leno Show in 2010 to air in prime time on a major broadcast network. Viewers didn't take to it though, as it stumbled out of the gate with only 2 million viewers for its debut outing. It numbers only dwindled from there in the weeks following.
The Alec Baldwin Show will be returning to finish off its run, though, with its remaining unaired episodes set to resume on Saturday, December 8 at 10:00pm.

I say cancel him and give that slot to a real ratings magnet...
All hail Rosie O'Donnell!
This all makes sense in a kinda NBC kind of way...

Smart move by them. Economic reevaluation dictates the decision. When an employee is projected to make you lose money from bad press for things that occur in their personal life, you fire them. Duhh, capitalism. Also he has a pattern of doing this kind of thing.

Do you apply this same thoughts to Roseanne?

Alec Baldwin used to be a very interesting individual. I admit, I didn't watch it much beyond the first few minutes of the first show, mostly because of his guests. Very sad. I cannot even believe they gave him his own show!! I really liked his acting on 30 Rock. Just sad. :-(

Nobody was watching this jerks show anyway. Hey maybe he can go on MSNBC and spew hate over there. Nobody is watching that channel either.

That's a dumb day and time to put it on anyway. Most people are watching Walking Dead and Talking Dead from 9 to 11.

Being an excellent actor does not a talk show host make. Behavior on his personal time should not take away from his acting performances. I was really surprised how bad he was at being a host. His Match Game stuff is meh as well. Stay with characters, your strong suit!
