The rebooted drama scores the back-nine.
November 8, 2018
The CW is firming up the episode counts of its new dramas today, and Charmed has received an order for nine additional episodes on top of its original 13 to bring its total to a full season's worth of 22.
The rebooted drama premiered in mid-October and has been a decent performer in the network's newly-added Sunday night lineup of originals. Reviews have leaned positive as well, with critics liking its updated take on the original '90s series.
Charmed follows sisters Mel and Maggie, whose worlds were shattered after the death of their mother. When they find out they have an older sister named Macy who their mother kept from them, the three sisters suddenly exhibit strange new abilities. They soon find out they are The Charmed Ones - powerful witches just like their mother was. And their new mission is to protect humankind from the demons that walk among them.

Yeah - i''m trying to stay positive. I really like the original storyline. I was a die hard charmed fan. But in this remake, the only thing they got right is the book in the attic. No growing pains as a witch and its really hard to believe they are sisters.

This is a great reboot. Enough the same and enough making its own path. I am total head over heels in love with show and cast. Keep the epispdes coming.

This show isn’t bad.. the problem is that it just doesn’t compare to the original.. they should have just named this show something different because besides the fact that they’re 3 sisters that are witches.. nothing else is the same.. their mom was an elder, no grams, their white lighter is British and old, and they have a surprise half sister.. the original did it better.. or they should at least had them connect to the P sisters some how, maybe their dad could have been Wyatt or even Chris...

This show will probably survive due to PC its no better than okay if nothing else to do, I think it would probably be better if they got rid of Melonie Diaz bad actress and annoying she's just not likeable at all the other sisters are okay

the cw has some great shows like supergirl , the flash and more. i watch this network a lot. I would say this show is not their best, but it is not garbage. however the first version fromm 1998- 2006? was much better

"Reviews have leaned positive as well" ... from where??? Every single person i know loathes the reboot, in fact i dont even know anyone still watching it, most abandoned it after the first couple. I think this is a PR attempt to make it appear to be more popular than it is in hopes to boost ratings. I cant imagine a 2nd season pickup...

extremely disappointed with the first episode and I really wanted to really like this, because the original was amazing. That being said, every episode has gotten better, so here is to hoping. (granted anything would be better than the pilot, that was very hard to get through).

As much as I hate to admit this, but I have a feeling its going to get a second season. As bad as it is and how much I loathe it. CW ratings are always so low and things always keep moving along.

.. and the CW is the CBS/Warner wasteland.... where they put hows they don't EXPECT to be terribly successful. And generally, they are correct. Bunch of soap opera superhero shows.. blech....
