USA Network announced today that Suits has been renewed for Season 9, also confirming that it will be the show's last. The news comes ahead of tonight's premiere of the back-half of Season 8, which has six episodes remaining.
The veteran legal drama, which premiered in 2011, has been a solid performer for the cable network over the course of its run, becoming one of its most-popular originals. Today's pickup will bring the show's total episode count to an impressive 134, and also makes it USA's longest-running original scripted drama.
Suits is expected to return for its ninth and final season this summer with a 10-episode concluding run.

Enjoyed the series but this last season has everyone (except Hoffman) acting out of character. Plus the kiss of death to a show bringing on Katherine Heigl and behold... Reruns will be nice.

I want a shutdown of all the suits until Rachel agrees to return for the grand finale. Playing politics is what it’s all about. Note Rachel’s real first name is Rachel, not Meghan, which is her real middle name. Rachel was there in the beginning and the only kept-intact non-radical suit to grace the misadventures. But perhaps she should be made full zany in the end to fit in with the schizoids. Call her Rachel Mountbatten-Windsor, or Duchess (I believe she doesn’t use a name), whatever - she and the show must unite one last time for us suitless plebs.

It is a good show, but it's rather played out as so many series are after that number of seasons. I hope they wrap it up nicely.

Good to see the show get a proper ending, shows kept me entertained even if the writing isn't always the best and story lines are recycled to often.
Will enjoy seeing Harvey and Louis get a proper send off. Would also be nice if they could integrate mike into the finale somehow.
