The veteran drama will return in 2017.
August 3, 2016
USA Network announced today that Suits has been renewed for a seventh season. The long-running drama continues to be a solid performer in the cable landscape on Wednesday nights, where it is currently airing new Season 6 episodes.
USA is keeping the status quo for Season 7, ordering another 16 episodes for a return in 2017, likely in the early summer. With today's pickup, Suits is now guaranteed to reach to 100-episode milestone.

The channel that shows this in the UK is not picking up season 7
This is the statement they have issued.
A spokesman for UKTV said: “Suits has been an important and much-loved part of Dave’s schedule for a number of years, but as the channel evolves so must its programme offering.
“We can confirm Dave will not be renewing its licensing deal.â€
Lets hope British viewers boycott the channel

I just finshed the final two episodes and thankfully they were very good - having them finally wrap up the jail - should I stay or should go now ridicluloiusness was a relief. This season, and last season when Mike got convicted ended strongly. In previous years, I mostly thought the endings were poorly done although the rest was more often better. Now I see Gina Torres must have decided to quit the show before the end (I had thought it was done later when she agreed to be in a new series). Next year can start fresh - if they stop beating every idea to a pulp, then it can have a couple more good years. (Do not bring in Jada Pinket Smith as a new partner - that was a bad joke.) I suggest they add Matthew McConaughey or Josh Lucas to The Firm. Seriously!

tom has a good point about the "grab a theme" and stretch it to death. I haven't finished this (now past) season yet and the jail part is poorly executed. tom would be happy to lose Patrick Adams altogether and now I think Gabriel (Harvey) is my only irreplaceable. (I want them all, get new writers). Gina Torres has quit so she didn't see her role as good as we did. Maybe we can get Jada Pinket Smith to replace Gina since Jada is a bossy whiner from Hell. Puuuuuuuke - jk. However, I think the Suits writers are Gotham writer wannabees. How about we write less bizarre shorter scripts and let the actors act instead of relying on perpetual ants in my pants emergencies suitable for Gotham.

not a fan of the grab a theme and only solve at the end of the 1/2 season breaks method this show likes to run. such as when those england guys tried to take over and it lasted the run of the season, now i predict that mike will get out early but not until the next break. i was hoping they wouldn't run this jail story line at all. i would have preferred them skipping 2 years ahead, with the new changes at the firm, changes with mike's relationship and maybe with him earning a degree in jail and helping the firm after he gets out of prison. not that i ever want to see him again on the show, but where is daniel hartman to add his gloating. of all people not to show up and gloat, he is the guy most that would want to see jessica and harvey down.

There was a time when Suits was my favorite show on TV. I was able to overlook a writer meltdown at the end of season 2 I think. Since them, they've shown a proclivity to take everything past the extreme and undermine what would otherwise be great. There is a cancer among writers to believe in needing to go over the edge without restraint on a regular basis. There is so much good in this show, so I hope the writers and writing (which I suspect our actors have a hand in) can realize that just a little less is more.

Another year of endless pilates and dieting for Gina, Sarah and Meghan. Is it my imagination or does Gina really have a change of wardrobe for every scene? I binge this program on netflix, love it to bits; i also love shadow hunters and Scream, how much credibility does that give me? :-o Suits is wonderfully adolescent. Patrick was looking a little pudgy S05 maybe he should join the ladies of the cast and do a couple of pilates sessions. Waiting for the whole of S06 to be available before i watch it. Every season has the same crisis points for it's characters however it never seems to bother me. I didn't hallucinate Patric doing a cameo as hourman in Legends of Tomorrow? Jessica and Louis are my favs.
