The cable drama will end its run this summer.
January 23, 2019
USA Network announced today that Suits has been renewed for Season 9, also confirming that it will be the show's last. The news comes ahead of tonight's premiere of the back-half of Season 8, which has six episodes remaining.
The veteran legal drama, which premiered in 2011, has been a solid performer for the cable network over the course of its run, becoming one of its most-popular originals. Today's pickup will bring the show's total episode count to an impressive 134, and also makes it USA's longest-running original scripted drama.
Suits is expected to return for its ninth and final season this summer with a 10-episode concluding run.

I just started 8 and I remember why I stopped watching... I just don't get all the 'G.. D....' that drop. I have been in enough professional settings and never heard cussing like this show.
It would be one thing if one of the people did it and that is their thing, but everyone in the office, even the new guy... really

I agree with Litt. There is no way some show about more Chicago style politics like we see coming out of the Democratic Party every day in real life, is going to be entertaining enough to carry the weight of this show.

I don't see Pearson spinoff as a replacement for Suits.
The network totally got it wrong!!!
There should have been a Louis Litt spinoff. I want to see how Litt deals with becoming a father. Frankly, he is the character of the show and totally worth a series built around him.

Mike Ross WAS THE SHOW. Without him, its only a shell of what it once was. The back n forth between Mike n Harvey is what made the show funny with their movie references and such was great, if you got the references. Some were obscure.
Also, Katherine Heigl literally ruins everything she touches. Shes toxic.

The new Jessica Pearson spinoff is likely to lose many or most of the current fans. Gina’s role in the beginning was very small and evolved into someone for Harvey (and Louis) to argue with. I will not be be checking it out unless it has a strong looking new cast or at least brings along Dule Hill (which might be tough if Suits is running concurrently). It might have to find a mostly new audience - although I expect it to do well.

I thought it had already been decided this season was the last. Huh.
I've loved this show for a long time but I gave up on it sometime last season. I'm done, I'd prefer to remember it as it used to be.

After Megan Markle and Patrick J. Adams left, the tone of the show changed. I see that Pearson will be a new show replacing Suits. I hope the writers do Suits justice. It's a good show and will be missed

A recent poll conducted for the Celebrity Post revealed that 83% of respondents think those Katherine Heigl death rumors are not funny anymore.

@Rodentman - all fun just like furry pest control.
Inspired by 101’s wish to have Mike return in the finale.
Come to think of it, if the high Dutchess would return via videophone (with Mike ... or Harry?) and explain how their philanthropic class-action endeavor is working out - I’m sure it would be hilarious. Preposterous?

The chance of "Rachel" returning given her present circumstance has a negative chance of happening. What does she, the network, the showrunners, and everyone else but you care at this point?
