It was announced today that Supernatural will be coming to an end after its already-ordered 15th season. The news, which was posted on social media by some of its stars, comes two months after the veteran drama's most-recent renewal and will bring an end to one of television's longest-running series.
Originally premiering on the now-defunct WB Network in 2005, Supernatural has impressively amassed over 300 episodes and boasts one of television's most-loyal fanbases. Throughout its time on the air, the show has always been one of The CW's top-rated series - even to this day.
20 episodes have been ordered for the final season of Supernatural. That number matches the total of its current 14th season, which is its shortest in over a decade. Look for a premiere this fall.

Never could get into the show, but I have massive respect for the fact that it’s not only lasted this long, but still has it’s main stars. This must be a sad day for the fans.

I was turned on to Supernatural about five years ago. I spent the longest two months of my life binge watching the first nine seasons. This show has run its course, but will be sorely missed.

Noooooooo. I am so sad. I love this show and have been with it from the start. Sad to see it end but have been grateful for the past 14 seasons and looking forward to see how it will wrap up for this last one.

It amazes me that this show has lasted so long. My friend tried to get me into it about 5 years ago. The acting is SOOOO BAD.
