The martial arts drama will return for Season 2.
April 24, 2019
Cinemax announced today that Warrior has been renewed for a second season. The good news comes just three episodes into the action drama's run, which has so far been garnering a generally positive reception from both viewers and critics.
Based on an original concept by martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Warrior follows Ah Sahm, a young martial arts prodigy in the 1870s who immigrates to San Francisco from China under mysterious circumstances after the Civil War. Once there, he becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown's most powerful and feared organized crime families.
Look for Season 2 of Warrior in 2020.

This show reminds of Into the badlands a little bit and it may fill the void after it ends!!!

Oh, if I had to write 1 complaint it would be the language the Chinese gang leaders use - mostly the men though, not so much the women. Being so peppered with an F-bomb every other sentence just makes them sound uneducated and more street-level gang members than leaders. Using profanity less would make it more impactful when it is used. None of it "offends" me in any way, I just think as a director, I'd curtail the F-bombs slightly in some of the settings.

The first three episodes have been good. The story is interesting, action scenes are great, acting is good. So, I'll keep watching until it starts to suck.. which may be season 2 :)

Even though I don’t have Cinemax anymore I was able to check out a couple of episodes for free. I think it’s been good so far
