FX announced today that What We Do in the Shadows has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes midway through the comedy's freshman run, which debuted in March and has been garnering a good amount of critical praise.
Shot in a documentary-style format, the half-hour series follows four vampires who have lived together for hundreds of years in Staten Island, New York. When they get an unexpected visit from their dark lord and leader, they are reminded of their century-old mission to achieve total domination of the New World.
Look for Season 2 of What We Do in the Shadows in 2020. For now, four episodes remain in Season 1, which will air its finale on Wednesday, May 29.

Just like Aethn BORING AFTER EP 2 in order preserve what little of my brain cells were disintegrating from boredom just having this on my DVR as well. Haven’t we had MORE than enough of vampires, zombies, viruses, pandemics and pseudo-political drama shows already? America’s run dry of ideas (GUARANTEED THIS SHOW DOES NOT GET A SEASON 3)

For once, I agree with Aethn. I laughed through the first several episodes, but it's gotten a bit slow. I hope it doesn't fall victim to the "sophomore slump."

Loved the movie, love the series. High priority on my dvr! SO glad it's renewed. TONS of potential with new characters, situations ESPECIALLY in the current political climate. This show is a life saver!! Seriously.

The show started out strong and funny but now its kinda boring and dry. I stopped watching and took it off DVR last week.
