No Season 5 for the family comedy.
May 10, 2019
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled Life in Pieces. The sad news comes five episodes into the comedy's fourth season, which was moved to air in the mid-season this year for the first time.
The half-hour series has been a fairly consistent performer for the network, airing behind Mom, which acts as a reliable lead-in. The late season premiere this time around, though, had raised suspicions that the show was nearing the end of its run.
Life in Pieces follows three generations of the Short family, with each episode telling separate short stories that each focus on a different group of the clan. New episodes resume airing on May 23.

I'm sad to say that 20th Television blocked Life in Pieces due to copyright grounds.

Life in pieces was one of best shows on TV. If CBS didn't keep moving it around it would have gotten better ratings. Hopefully another network will realize what a great show it is.

PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS!!!! The actors are amazing and they are perfectly matched to their characters. This is one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in a long time. RECONSIDER CBS... we want Life in Pieces to stay for a lot more seasons!!!

NOOOOOOOO!!! :O
Why are they cancelling this Great Funny Show but yet, the idiotic Kardashians and stupid fake Bachelorette is still running?? Does America only like to see FAKE life and LIES???? America is just going to complete SHIT!!! In EVERY possible way! This was one of the few shows left that made me laugh and forget we have a dangerous Clown in the White House, whom is NOT Funny at all!! :(

So disappointed! The writing is great! The concept is great! The cast is great! And even the young actors are great! It’s not very often that you get all those things in one show. Really don’t get it, especially when you see so many lesser shows moving forward. So wishing another network will think about picking it up. Come on Netflix!

It is one of the best shows! They should have moved it to an earlier time slot and it would have a lot more fans. Even though I'd watch it anytime

This is such a shame. I LOVE this show and it’s formatting. The way they manage to break the episode up into different segments while still tying the shows storylines together is epic. Makes me sad

It's a shame. I really enjoy this show. I think we may see some young actors become huge stars in the future. Canceling this show so quickly is not the correct move. Maybe a good lead in would have helped. Going to miss it.

This was well made, funny and had charm. It was also original which is difficult to do these days in the world of sitcoms. Would be nice to see a different network pick it up. CBS never did feel like the right home for it.

I just gasped when I read this!!! I laugh out loud every episode and that is so rare these days. The writing was on the wall when it did not start with the fall line up but it came back so strong I was hopeful. CBSucks strikes again!!
