The new comedy gets the back-nine.
October 27, 2015
CBS has topped up Season 1 of Life in Pieces, ordering the back-nine episodes for the show today. The freshman comedy is off to a solid start for the network, garnering healthy ratings through its first five episodes in its Monday night time slot.
Life in Pieces won't be staying on Mondays though. The show is making the move to Thursday nights beginning next week on November 5, where it will air at 8:30pm following The Big Bang Theory.

this show has reached rock bottom. how many times are they gonna rip off Modern Family? they've copied jokes almost word-for-word. then it was a direct ripoff of the storyline of walking in on your parents doing it, and now ANOTHER MF copy, trying to decide who's the best choice to look after your kids when you die. why is this show even on the air??? everything on it has been done already with infinitely better quality.

Fantastic show! Love the cast and the writing. It's a laugh out loud kind of show. I also like pretty much anything with Collin Hanks.

i was lmao at the new baby moments etc..brought back many memories that you can laugh at...right down to the judgey gma's and aunts of how your raising your kids! good luck on those tween years! let me know if you found a formula for this time!!!! Yes, it is basically a "rip off" from other shows, its all about presentation. we have to rewatch some of it twice because wed miss something while laughing. Chan i will agree! the cast is great! nice to have some good quality laughs without trying to hard for them.

I've posted on many shows I do like. If you fail to read those, that's not my issue. This show is trite and will not last past a season. It's a repeat of every other family oriented sitcom ever... with worse writing. The ONLY thing that MAY save it are the names.. Hanks, Brolin, etc. But that's it.

Bub, what shows do you like? You criticise nearly eavery show just to be "correct" if or when it gets cancelled. That's not being a good critic, it's being pusillanimous.

This show is great and it just is right in target to real life. The baby episode had me cracking up! Oh how can any sleepless parents can relate. I'm going through the tween years with one now so I can see some of that with the middle child (daughter). I relate to the mom and dad with the three kids. I enjoy the small segments. Not too long and the stories all have great little punches to them. I hope it stays. I see others complaining, but how many CSI's are there now? Please!! I mean really give it a break. It's a funny show and yes it's similar to Modern Family, but who cares! If you don't like it don't watch it. I'm planning on watching it.

Nice! I really enjoy this show. I usually end up having to watch it more than once because I'm usually cracking up and miss half the jokes.
