It's one and done for the book-based thriller.

It is being reported that The Passage has been cancelled by Fox after just one season. The news is not much of a surprise, as the series struggled over the course of its time on the air.
Premiering as a mid-season entry earlier this year, its initial numbers were fairly good considering the time of the year. But audiences didn't stick around, as its viewership tapered off steadily during its 10 episode run. The series finale aired on March 11.
The Passage follows a top secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure of all diseases, but also holds the potential to eradicate the entire human race. Amy Bellafonte is 10-year-old girl whose mother recently passed away. After she is selected as a test subject, the federal agent tasked with bringing her in ends up becoming her surrogate father, and will protect her at any cost – even as the project's progression threatens to unleash a terrible apocalypse.

Of course it got cancelled after one season. It's Fox. I don't know why they bother to even give sci fi shows a single season there, they always cancel them in the first season due to unrealistic expectations for ratings. I never bothered with Fox shows because I don't want to get excited for a show then find out its cancelled on a cliffhanger.

I enjoyed it and I thought the way it ended could have made a 2nd season really interesting but I'm not really surprised it got cancelled.

I thought this was a really cool show. I'd usually would suggest for hulu or Netflix addition, but better suited for SYFY. I'll give it a week or 2 before deleting it ftom my auto rec list.
