The cop drama will return for Season 2.
June 14, 2019
Spectrum Originals announced today that L.A.'s Finest has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just days ahead of the drama's freshman finale.
The series premiered in May as Spectrum's first original series. It was initially commissioned by NBC for a pilot in early 2018, but the network ultimately ended up passing on it. For its first season, Spectrum has noted a strong audience response to the show, though critics have given it decidedly-mixed feedback.
Headlined by Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union, L.A.'s Finest acts as an offshoot of the Bad Boys movie franchise. Union plays Miami DEA agent Syd Burnett, who leaves her complicated past behind to become a detective for the LAPD. Her new partner Nancy McKenna, played by Alba, is a working mother with just as many skeletons in her closet. While the two women have a hard time seeing eye to eye, they have no problem forming a dynamic duo in order to take down dangerous criminals in Los Angeles.
Look for Season 2 to premiere in 2020.

It was an ALRIGHT show if you dont keep in mind it is supposed to be linked to the Bad Boys movies. Also its kinda lame they couldnt get Martin Lawrence to actually reprise the role of Syd's dad. Instead they had Ernie Hudson, while a decent actor himself, hes not Martin Lawrence.

@Plop.. DirectTV is AT&T... aka Audience.. they already have their own shows.. Loudermilk, You Me Her.... Spectrum is merely following suit.

Ohhh how far Jessica Alba has fallen. What was Spectrum going to NOT cancel? Oh....that's right.....NOTHING, because this is IT! So stupid.

@Michael Spectrum = Time Warner. Technically not a network but a cable provider. I guess that makes it worse lol..

The show is ok. Not great. Funny that we now have television shows exclusive to specific cable companies. I wonder if Fios or Comcast or Direct TV is doing the same.

Only being driven by the lead actresses... the show, the writing, the clichés, are all just terrible.
