The cop drama will return for Season 2.

Spectrum Originals announced today that L.A.'s Finest has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just days ahead of the drama's freshman finale.
The series premiered in May as Spectrum's first original series. It was initially commissioned by NBC for a pilot in early 2018, but the network ultimately ended up passing on it. For its first season, Spectrum has noted a strong audience response to the show, though critics have given it decidedly-mixed feedback.
Headlined by Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union, L.A.'s Finest acts as an offshoot of the Bad Boys movie franchise. Union plays Miami DEA agent Syd Burnett, who leaves her complicated past behind to become a detective for the LAPD. Her new partner Nancy McKenna, played by Alba, is a working mother with just as many skeletons in her closet. While the two women have a hard time seeing eye to eye, they have no problem forming a dynamic duo in order to take down dangerous criminals in Los Angeles.
Look for Season 2 to premiere in 2020.

Surprising but what ever rocks your boat i suppose. Good on them for finding an audience.

Really surprised. This show is dreadful. I like Jessica Alba as an actress but she can't save this rubbish. The Syd character is a total cliche
