No Season 4 for the Saturday drama.
July 3, 2019
Word is out that Ransom has been cancelled after three seasons. The suspense drama had an interesting run on CBS, airing as a rare Saturday night original since its premiere in 2017.
An international co-production that also aired in Canada and France, Ransom followed a veteran hostage negotiator whose team works to resolve some of the most difficult kidnap and ransom cases. The team uses its insight into human behavior to resolve these intense situations while refusing to resort to violence no matter the stakes.

I'm so sorry to see this show go. It was one of my favourites and I will miss Eric Beaumont and the crew. Netflix? Please!!

I am really sad this show was cancelled. Watched every episode in every season. Maybe, hopefully Netflix will pick it up so it can continue.

So did the last season end in a cliffhanger?

So I started watching this when it came out, 1st episode was good, then it started going all over the place.
I tried the 2nd season which I enjoyed, again though, felt like this was one of those 12 episode shows that couldn't make it past that.
3rd season was crap for me. Left after 3 episodes.
Not sure for those who loved it really thought where would this or could this show go?

Everyone is correct. Ransom is probably be replaced by some stupid cheap to make reality show. There is not much good stuff on TV these days. Reality shows, quiz shows, and other junk. Cheap to make is the keyword. So sad.

For us it was one of the top 3 shows on TV. Reality shows and
dumb sitcoms rule television. Hope it gets picked up by another outlet.

Here's hoping it can have a surprise comeback yet again! Overall, a damnably sharp show with a welcome Canadian setting. A welcome treat in the week after the saggy, droopy material the streaming services too often provide.

Or maybe it'll get another surprise renewal. I do think that the first season cancellation then last minute season 2 pick - up hurt the show in that Sarah Greene had already signed on to other projects and had to be written off just as her story and character arc were developing (and her romance with Brandon Jay McLaren).
