ABC announced today that How to Get Away with Murder will be coming to an end after its upcoming sixth season. Series creator Peter Nowalk took to social media shortly after the news broke to express his gratitude for being able to end the story on his own terms - as well as taking the opportunity to tease a 'killer' ending for all the main characters.
ShondaLand's second-longest-running series currently on the air, the thriller has enjoyed a successful run on the network since its premiere in 2014. While its recent ratings aren't quite what they were in its heyday, Season 5 still ranked as the top program on Thursdays at 10:00pm.
The sixth and final season of How to Get Away with Murder will premiere on Thursday, September 26.

I couldn't get past the first episode, which stole a scene straight from the movie "The Paper Chase" and passed it off as original writing.

Makes sense to end it now. The story has become less and less interesting these past 2 seasons. It's still a pretty good show at this point but nowhere near the quality of the first couple seasons. Best to end it before it's no longer a good show!

WOW... I'm pretty shocked HTGAWM won't be a 100 ep show. Although I do understand that Pete N would rather play it safe than to risk not being renweed for S7. Once opon a time was the last series that I really enjoyed the ending.
I just hope I'm satified with HTGAWM's ending. FYI, I was somewhat unfulfilled and confused with the Game of thrones ending!!!

I think this is the right decision. I like the show but it is running out of storyline. Greys should go too since it’s so repetitive.
