No Season 3 for the Superman prequel.
August 16, 2019
It is being reported that Krypton has been cancelled by Syfy after two seasons. The sad news comes just two days after the drama's sophomore finale, which now acts as its series ender.
The Superman prequel premiered last year with a 10-episode run that, despite mixed reviews, fared well for the cable network. Ratings in Season 2 did not fare as well, however, dropping in numbers by almost half.
Set on the titular planet 200 years before the birth of Kal-El, aka Superman, Krypton follows his grandfather Seg-El. He is the son of a disgraced scientist whose time travel research has cost the family their standing in society. With the House of El having fallen from grace, a power struggle ignites between the planet's elite classes. Things get worse when a hero arrives from the future with bad news regarding the family's bloodline.

I held off watching because I figured it would probably get cancelled after a few seasons. Maybe DC can move it over to the CW with all their other shows or maybe put it on DC Universe or HBO Max.

With '12 Monkeys' ending, I wanted to give another SYFY show a chance and since I like the comic stories for the most part, I was intrigued by the concept of Krypton. My big issue is when there are such large gaps between seasons therefore Season 2 didn't draw me in like Season 1, even though the story felt more cohesive. Oh well.

SPOILER ALERT:
Lobo series isn't out of the realm of possibilities yet. It may just be continued there considering how the series ended. It seemed to me like it was going to be a lead in into Lobo The Series. I mean Lobo showing up and agreeing to team up with Seg to track down Brainiac and rescue Seg's child.

The first season dragged, but we watched it. Then season #2 really strapped on some rocket packs! (figuratively-speaking) Lobo! Mind to mind with Brainiac! Doomsday! Cliff-hanger ending with a shot of Thanagarians! And by all appearances, Nissa was walking on a beach under a yellow sun...so, certain exciting revelations about Kryptonian biology might have been seen next season. Ah, well...

Just stop....the bottom line is if we’re all fans of superheroes we should want all shows to do well so they keep making them.

The racist undertones weren't MY assessment. I wasnt really even paying attention to that aspect during the few episodes I watched. But if someone points out something like that, and then when you go back and watch for it (which im not going to do) and it turns out having some truth to the claim, does it make the person who noticed it an idiot? And thats pertaining to ANYTHING, not just this.

Hey Ed G, I watched all but one episode of season one which was more than I should have. It was the opposite of cogent, a mess. Your racist undertones insinuation is asinine - just like the current politics in that regard.
