The acclaimed drama will continue in 2020.
August 20, 2019
HBO announced today that Succession has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes two episodes into the drama's sophomore run, which has once again been garnering high critical acclaim.
The buzz around the series has been building as of late, resulting in the Season 2 premiere drawing series high viewership across the cable network's delivery platforms. Additionally, last month the show received an impressive five Emmy Award nominations, including one in the Outstanding Drama Series category.
Succession follows the Roy family, which is comprised of the powerful patriarch Logan and his four children. Logan heads up the family-run business, Waystar Royco - one of the world's largest media and entertainment conglomerates. As the aging father begins to step back from the company, a power struggle erupts between him and his eldest son, and between the rest of the siblings themselves. The resulting feud tests their ability to separate business from family loyalties.
Look for Season 3 of Succession in 2020.

I'm somewhat interested in wanting to give the show a chance. On Rich Eisen, he and Brockman said it's a great show. Also mixed critic reviews. If it's as good as house of cards (I know a political show or maybe Billions (more business related) then I'll put it on my to watch list. Can someone give me a show comparison to succession. FYI I started watching the duece and am kinda on the fence right now. I may finish season 1 then decide if Im gonna continue on. Thanks all

This show is boring.. not enough sex for a cable network. They should air this between Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless... same general pacing.

This show is about rotten people trying to get power, who cares what else it does, if you like that premise then you will like it.

It's beginning to feel bogged down. Is there a story arc or is it just treading water?

I've been wanting to watch this, but I'm constantly afraid I'm going to get roped into a show that is nothing but political propaganda, what with it being HBO.
Can someone...honestly...tell me if this show sticks to its own merits and doesn't resort to calling conservatives "deplorable" or liberals "socialists?" I badly want a new show where I don't feel like I'm being preached to.

This show started out as a decent drama but it’s turned into one of the funniest dark comedies on TV.
