The new comedy has received more episodes.

CBS announced today that Carol's Second Act has been topped up with additional episodes to give it a full season. The good news comes four episodes into the comedy's freshman run. While the exact number of episodes has not been divulged, it is expected to be between five and nine on top of its original order of 13.
The half-hour series stars Patricia Heaton as Carol Kenney, a middle aged woman who has had a successful teaching career, raised her children, and been through a divorce. Now at age 50 she is embarking on a unique second act and pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor.

I like Heaton but as a medical professional I hate these shows that make up stupid scenarios with laugh tracks. Real med has a lot of good stuff

After a decent start, seems the episodes have become less funny each week. The Marathon episode was so unfunny.

I'm with the other who think this show is not good. I watched the first three episodes and barely smiled. The "jokes" are dead on arrival, and shockingly, Patricia Heaton is overacting, while everyone else cannot. If Carol was Debra Barone in this show, it would be much funnier.

I saw some of the first episode and had to stop. So glad we live in an age that has multiple channels. I always still hold out up for the old networks, but shows like this continue to show me that the old networks are eventually going to fade.

Really? This crap gets a full season?
Predictable jokes that's been done ad absurdum and horrible actors.

Wow! Terrible show.. Really surprised they gave this poop a full season.

Better than some CBS crapolla, but this isn't "good" by any imagination - it's merely not glaringly bad. Overall. it's "Debra" from Everybody Loves Raymond in a hospital.. that's all.

YEAH! They got one right!! :-) Happy to read this!
One of the very few *new* shows that I personally look forward to watching. Great actors.
