More episodes ordered for the comedy spin-off.
October 28, 2019
ABC announced today that it has topped up the freshman run of Mixed-ish with nine additional episodes to bring its original order of 13 up to a full season's worth of 22 episodes. The comedy is five weeks into its run and has been performing decently as a lead-in to its parent series Black-ish on Tuesday nights.
The spin-off prequel follows Rainbow Johnson looking back at her early years growing up in a mixed-race family in the 1980s, after her parents moved them from a hippie commune to the suburbs to provide a better life for their family. Bow and her siblings navigate a mainstream school in which they are not seen as black or white - leaving them with the constant dilemma of whether to assimilate or stay true to themselves.

@mila People love to make tv shows political on here. It's their favorite pass time. They are incapable of seeing a show as either good or bad and then deciding whether they would like to continue watching it solely based on that. Sad really. But this our new reality. Everything has to have a hidden meaning even if it's just a silly tv show.
Oh and I'm glad it got picked up. I enjoy the show! It's very entertaining. See not so hard is it.

None of you have a clue what this show is about ... it’s not a political show at all , it’s about a biracial family and their experiences living in the 80s ... shut up before you judge without knowledge

They hopefully may mean their views sometimes...sometimes . Not all but....A black person with non liberal view (they exist ) is one of the most unpolitical concept even though I know some were in past...they lie and say things switched.Hollywood would not want shown unless they plan to have them change or make them bad or insane.

Yep, Patti, that's what you hear anytime a black person is a part of anything . Which pisses me off and turned me off from the entertainment idustry along with plenty of other bad thing in Tinsel Town(cult).BUT....It doesn't help that most dare say all "minorities"(whispers ..anyone on a screen ) are portrayed as lean left like so many of them have been conditioned by this deceptive Government and world. All black people feel the same no other portrayals needed besides the typical ones the fake J's allow. The reason I don't watch this and many others. Even so, I still can't stand these groups and other people lump any nonwhite person as PC how is it pc to have us in different ORIGINAL roles. Not far fetched to show this couple. How see things from our point of view, years and years seeing only a certain preference as lead liked some of it but still. I hate how Hollywood handled diversity but it was no accident. Some certain people seem to can't stand anyone esp a brown skinned individual and scream "PC" .Gets hard to tell if they just say it to hate on them. That industry cares not for minorities or ANY not pushing the narrative set by those behind the the scenes...they' re REAL issue ntus. We all have been deceived and fear us working together so THEY stir up and CAUSE problems that cause division among most who would be against THEM. Detraction tactics

Any SITCOM that needs to use narration to tell it's story is written horribly. That includes ALL of the "-ish" shows, The Goldbergs. Schooled... the narration merely shows how LAZY the writing is and how stupid they think the audience is.

Bob and Jerry...do you think any show that has a black character automatically makes it PC or leftist? I see comments like this on any show that doesn't have a white main character. Admit your racist bias and move on.
