No Season 3 for the cable dramedy.
October 29, 2019
Word is out that AMC has cancelled Lodge 49 after two seasons. The sad news comes two weeks after the dramedy's sophomore finale, which will now act as its series ender. The hour-long series drew strong critical acclaim over the course of its run, but never really found a sizeable audience.
Lodge 49 is a modern fable that follows Sean 'Dud' Dudley, a charming ex-surfer from Long Beach, California. Meandering in life since his father's death and the collapse of the family business, Dud ends up at a rundown fraternal lodge. There, a plumbing salesman introduces him to newfound friendships that just might help Dud find his missing sense of purpose and get his life back on track.

This one of my favorite shows. It was different from the other shows out there. I recommended it to my friends and co-workers. It is a shame that they cancelled it. I guess most people just want to watch shows that have lawyers, doctors or police.

This show kept toying with crossing into fantasy but always pulled back. Sometimes the characterizations were sharp but the plots always wandered, which I guess was the point. But often that just left the audience wandering as well.

Will miss this show...first season was great, kind of lost me with the quest for scrolls but it was a fun finish! Wyatt Russell is adorable just like his dad

The best thing on TV got cancelled. I guess what world needs is more sitcoms about white ladies becoming doctors...

I enjoyed this show, but I feel it benefitted from following Better Call Saul during its first season. The second season had some good moments. Wyatt Russell was good in this show.

I'm so pissed! This show had a different vibe. Love Wyatt Russell. Now we will never know who fell out of the door with no stairs. Personally, I think it was Blaise.

@michael dobey - I feel 'Preacher' kinda needed to come to an end. I gave up around mid season 3, and just watched the end episodes of season 4. We didn't watch Badlands. We enjoyed the first season of Lodge 49, but we just could not get back into season 2. Even on Hulu, I wasn't motivated to watch Lodge again. Not really sure why... it had some neat characters, neat ideas, ancient / secret society of the Lodge & scrolls, weird surrealism to the show. Maybe it went too slow? I don't know. I wish they kept Bruce Campbell (Loved him in Burn Notice). Anyway, Happy viewing!

am has been cancelling many shows. Into the badlands and preacher in the last year alone.
