The cable dramedy will return for Season 2.

AMC announced today that Lodge 49 has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just days ahead of the dramedy's freshman finale, which airs this Monday.
The hour-long series premiered in August for a 10-episode run that has garnered plenty of critical acclaim for its mix of light-hearted humor and satisfying storytelling. Ratings have been on the lower side, however, as it has struggled to find a sizeable audience in its post-Better Call Saul time slot on Monday nights.
Lodge 49 is a modern fable that follows Sean 'Dud' Dudley, a charming ex-surfer from Long Beach, California. Meandering in life since his father's death and the collapse of the family business, Dud ends up at a rundown fraternal lodge. There, a plumbing salesman introduces him to newfound friendships that just might help Dud find his missing sense of purpose and get his life back on track.
AMC has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 2, which will return in 2019.

Thhis is the best show on TV right now. It will take masses a few yours to recognize it, but it is the work of pure genius.

I tried to watch this show but it is just to wacky. Its all over the place. The characters are not interesting enough to tolerate the weak story line.

This isn't the best show on tv, but it is entertaining. I like that the lead character, Dud, does no harm to anyone and just takes life one day at a time and is not accusing anyone for his misfortunes in life. The show is quirky and I love some of the characters. I can do without the Debby Downer sister. The music is mellow - kind of like 70's music. Glad it got renewed. Nice change from the cops, robbers and med shows. Plus they are not pushing 'an agenda', which is great.

This is a really different show and one I wouldn't normally watch, but I love it so much. I also love Wyatt Russell.

I really got into this show. So happy it is renewed!! It had a bit of a slow start, but I am glad I stuck with it.

Glad this got renewed. I got into the pilot, and then it just kept getting better.
