No Season 2 for the crime drama.

Word is out this evening that Fox has cancelled Deputy after just one season. The sad news comes eight days after the western crime procedural wrapped its 13-episode freshman run, which ended up ranking as one of the network's lowest-rated dramas of the season.
The series starred Stephen Dorff as Bill Hollister, a fifth-generation lawman in Los Angeles, who is thrust into the Sheriff's job after the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department loses its elected Sheriff. While not exactly the job he wanted due to the politics involved, he soon learns that following his instincts to pursue justice at all costs is only skill required to get the job done.

This show was the epitome of liberal trash. I barely made it through the first episode. Glad its gone.

I wish they would cancel at least half of the cop shows. They are all the same. People come out with new shows that have different story lines and they get shut down like Lodge 49. I guess people just like the same old stuff recycled over and over again. At least this one is off the air.

They cancell a perfectly good show and leave all the other crap on TV.

This was a pretty good show. I enjoyed it. Cant believe they would cancel this and keep both 911 shows on. I love the actors on 911 both even that couldn't get me thru 20 min of either of them.

I personally enjoyed the show. It covered a spectrum of issues & there was diversity. It had a great cast & it was good to see new faces on tv. Sorry to see Fox wasn't will I g to give it a chance to catch on. I also liked Longmire.

I liked the show but never, ever care when the shows that I watch are cancelled. It just ain't important. They'll be others.

What did expect with the name deputy. Can't call the show deputy when main character becomes sheriff =)

I stopped watching this show after the first 20 minutes when it became clear that entertainment was going to take a back seat to preaching.

I Switched channels the moment he opined about illegal immigrants, and never looked back.
