The new comedy will end after one season.
May 6, 2020
CBS' newest comedy, Broke, will not be returning for a second season. The cancellation was confirmed as the network announced its renewals this morning for the 2020-2021 season.
Broke premiered in April as a mid-season entry, but failed to gain much traction in both ratings and critical reception. The comedy is five episodes into its run and is expected to air all its remaining episodes as planned.
The series follows single mom Jackie, who is surprised when her estranged sister shows up at her door along with her rich husband and his loyal assistant. The couple have run into financial difficulties and the three of them are looking for a place to live. And while class differences might separate the women, the size of the house with the increased occupants tests the limits of their new living situation.

Did Dave not realize that perrette used gimmicks, bad make up and an annoying presentation to cover up the fact that she cant act and is just nuts?

I did like the show but unfortunately it had an overacting quality that is hard not to notice. If you watched the show you know which characters I'm referring to.

Not surprising in the slightest. I was annoyed just watching the promos.

Good.
This is what you get for falsely accusing men of sexual assault.

Who could have guessed all that silly makeup and Mark Harmon were covering up the fact the Pauley Perrette can't act.

This show was a goner from the get-go. You could tell that 15 seconds into the first episode.

I was glad to hear Fran Drescher got a new show but this just looked bad.
Bad elements (poor lazy writing, laugh track, multi cam, bad unrealistic sets, studio lighting, extra) of bygone era.

I'mNeverWrong never heard of a show called NCIS? She was the lab person for 10+ seasons.

Not unexpected but I enjoyed watching it.
