No Season 2 for the musical drama.
July 2, 2020
It is being reported that The CW has cancelled Katy Keene after one season. The sad news comes less than two months after the Riverdale spin-off concluded its freshman run. There may be hope for its future though, as Warner Bros. Television is said to be looking to find a new home for the musical drama.
Based on the Archie Comics character of the same name, Katy Keene follows the titular aspiring fashion designer who creates clothes for her all her friends. Her roommate Josie is an up-and-coming singer looking for her big break. Together with their friends, they are chasing their dreams in the big city of New York.

I actually really loved this show - adored it! Thought it was different and great! i do hope they find another home for it. I really thought it had an interesting voice. I'd like to see it shine on.

I've heard of this show. So, it wasn't from lack of promos. At least the show was given a chance. There are things that are canned after one episode with NO PROMOS! Good on CW for at least trying with this show.

1. Never heard of this show.
2. @Katie Umm... So are you saying that this show that next to nobody has heard from represents the struggles that America now faces? Maybe not? Just sayin.
3. That is all. Hope everybody is enjoying the holiday.

Don't feed the "not given a chance" trolls. Everybody knows one full season is a chance. They just say it isn't to anger people

This one was aimed at teen girls. The musical stuff should have been left out. if you want a good teen show that adults can enjoy star girl is sooo good. It just rocks , in fact the villains are truly scary and yet they have families and such. Just soo good. .

.. again with the "not given a chance".. If one full season isn't "a chance" what the hell is???

After all the advertisements they aired, a full season, and two months for social buzz to build we have to admit the CW gave this show a chance. I guess the viewing public just didn't like it. I heard about a lot from the network but nothing else anywhere else. Not a good sign that the public is watching it.

@Katie What are you talking about? What does anything have to do with "what's going on in the world"? The mere fact that it didn't succeed when most people have nothing to do BUT watch tv says how bad of a show it actually was. Also, it's the CW if a show can't make it there then it probably shouldn't have been made in the first place.

I enjoy Riverdale, for what it is. I approached this show cautiously optimistic. I don't know where to start. Character development around a shows premise is very important. It seemed they developed characters, and then tried to build a show around them. CW goes out of their way to "check all the boxes' when it comes to their shows, which is fine. I would say they went way further than they needed to with this one.
