No Season 3 for the psychological horror anthology.
November 3, 2020
It is being reported that Hulu has cancelled Castle Rock after two seasons. The news comes nearly a year after the psychological horror drama wrapped its sophomore run on the streaming service.
The series premiered in 2018 and appeared to fare well early on. Critics praised its storytelling and well-rounded cast, while Hulu claimed its debut was its most-consumed original premiere ever. The critical acclaim continued in Season 2, though it is not known how many viewers returned to the series.
Based on various characters and settings from Stephen King's novels, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of the author's works, weaving together a saga of light and darkness that plays out in the Maine town of Castle Rock. Being an anthology, each season of the show was a self-contained story.

@Bama That makes sense. But I also think they were starting to run out of room and painting themselves into a corner.

Disappointing. As for CW picking it up please no. Look what they did to Supergirl. They took a mildly entertaining show and made it completely unwatchable.

Warner Brothers actually canceled it to focus on producing series for HBO MAX, wish they would just bring it over to MAX.

Bummer...had heard they had a few more stories under their sleeve. Still think the characters in the series should have realized they were creations of a writer in series finale. Hopefully picked up by cw.
