No Season 2 for the animated basketball comedy.

It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Hoops after just one season. The sad news comes less than four months after the animated comedy released its 10-episode freshman run, which ultimately garnered a lukewarm critical reception.
The half-hour series follows a crude and selfish high school basketball coach who views winning as everything. Unfortunately he's a bit of a loser who always looks for the easy way out. His team, The Colts, are a pretty sad bunch themselves, but coach thinks that turning around this hapless bunch will be his ticket to the big leagues.

I rather listen to jar jar banks talk for 5 hours as cats have wild sex and toddlers screaming in the background than listen to Ben's voice.

Thank goodness this show was cancelled! I couldn't even get through the first episode without cringing. It was crude and just outright terrible. Proud of Netflix for cancelling it.

I thought it was crude and funny all in one. Sometimes I laughed so hard , I had to rewind. Makes me wonder what's wrong with me. I liked it, but won't miss it either.

That's disappointing. It at least ended ok. The comedy was actually really good. First 2 episodes took a bit to tolerate but it got better.

Jake Johnson as the main voice was a HORRIBLE choice - or at least the voice he used here. I don't remember him sounding that way on New Girl. That voice was like sandpaper and not fitting for the content at all. The show would have been 1000 times better with a different voice... I honestly couldn't tolerate more than an episode or two before I just wanted the voice to stop.
