The naval spin-off will say good-bye in May.
February 17, 2021
CBS announced today that NCIS: New Orleans will be coming to an end after its current seventh season. The sad news comes as the spin-off is experiencing a dip in its ratings - down around 25% compared to its average from last year.
On the air since 2014, episodes follow a specialized team of Navy investigators in the Big Easy. The second entry in the franchise, the show has been a consistently steady performer for the network, and by the time it concludes will have aired 155 total episodes.
The series finale of NCIS: New Orleans will air on Sunday, May 16.

One down, two to go. The writing on these shows (NCIS family of shows) has been pretty awful for the last several years ...at least. That's been the "death knell" in my opinion.

Gonna miss Bakula and Sebastian, and Tammy and their dynamic. Triple P was great and Charles Michael Davis was growing on me after the weirdness of seeing him not as a vampire. All around was a good cast and I liked it a lot cause of that but they got too far away from the case of the week formula and started getting too much into the weeds of woke culture and that just never ends well. One thing I like about the original and LA too is they dont do the whole COVID mask thing. These shows are supposed to be a different reality from ours. We dont need constant reminders of how life is stupid right now.
Im pretty sure the ratings started plummeting after LaSalle was killed off as well. He was one of the reasons I even watched this show. I really liked that guy, he was genuine and real.
@Truff, the only thing that made Trumps era horrible for some was the media. No one in the media wanted to actually be objective and report on the facts, it was always how can they spin it in the most negative way possible. Theres also far more examples of leftist violence than there is of so-called right wing extremism. The media just ignored it all or excused it. Even Nadler said it was a myth or conspiracy, like SERIOUSLY?

Not sad to see the show go.
I like Bakula and Pounder, and it's nice to have seen the show give Mitchell a job.
But the show was going the was of CSI: Miami... "All Horatio all the time". In this case, too much on personal issues.

@Tom seems to have lost sight of the fact we were commenting on the cancellation of NCIS New Orleans. They have forums for your nonsense. This isn't one of them.

Wow a lot of snowflakes having a meltdown because tuff mention some time period. Just goes to prove what he was saying.
@Jacob
Do you mean the last four months with the denial of free and fair election results, the 1/06/21 attacks (never forget), and the second trial. That is the kind of crap tuff was saying people wanted to escape from.

Of the three, definitely the weakest. Began to loose interest when it became NCIS Pride Problems

A new NCIS over it already

Truff-You talk big, keyboard commando with a negative IQ married to your hand. Maybe it's tired after four years of action.

NCIS NO was the worst of the three. Will not really miss it. With news of Mark Harmon thinking of leaving NCIS, CBS may cancel the show.
