No Season 3 for the crime drama.

It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Prodigal Son after two seasons. The sad news comes two weeks ahead of the crime drama's May 18 sophomore finale, which will now serve as its series ender.
The show stars Tom Payne as Malcolm Bright, a criminal psychologist with a special gift of knowing how the minds of killers work. This is because in the 1990s, his father, played by Michael Sheen, was a notorious serial killer known as "The Surgeon". Malcolm uses his ability to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers, all while dealing with his manipulative mother , played by Bellamy Young, and homicidal father, who is still looking to bond with his prodigal son.
The cancellation of Prodigal Son does not come as a complete surprise, as the show struggled to draw a sizeable audience even back in Season 1. Considered on the bubble at the time, it was the network's last series of 2020 to earn a pickup. As its numbers fell further in Season 2, Fox ultimately could not justify extending its run any further.

Cancel this, but keep crappy Call Me Kat? I tried to like the latter, but couldn't. Now I'm bummed this won't get a proper finish. Oh well may leave time to watch AEW Dark and Elevation if more of my shows continue to get the axe.

Really sad to see this show go. It was slow and, at times, hard to follow. But, wow! Michael Sheen's work was fantastic! That mother though! Ugh!!!!

Really disappointed in Fox. I was captivated by this show. Go ahead Fox, replace it with another mindless "game show" and continue the demise of creativity on network television.

Yep, another halfway decent show down the terlet. Pretty soon all we will have is Big Dick Wolf and his left-wing socialist agenda. Cop shoots a black guy who is confrontational, and defiant...etc etc.

So very frustrating!!!!! Stupid crap like The Simpsons gets renewed through season 34 but this show gets canceled after 2 seasons? I love this show. It is dark, quirky, sometimes funny, and the characters are great!!! I hope that Netflix or Hulu will pick it up, even if it is only for one more season to give it the proper ending it deserves!

I THINK I WILL REFUSE AND MAYBE START A DAMN PETITION ON FOX TO GET THEM TAKEN OFF AS THEY ALWAYS CANCEL GOOD SHOWS AND SAY BECAUSE THE NUMBERS ARE TOO "LOW". Not a shocker. Horrible premise for a horrible show. I was hoping it was going to be good for Tom, but first episode was garbage. Sorry no one's picking this up. They are going to leave it on the ground where it belongs.
