No Season 2 for the sci-fi drama.
May 27, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Debris after just one season. The sad news comes three days after the sci-fi drama wrapped its 13-episode freshman run. The move isn't a complete surprise though, as the show struggled to find a sizeable audience despite generally positive feedback from critics.
From 'Fringe' executive producer J.H. Wyman, the hour-long series follows a world where mysterious wreckage has fallen to Earth from outer space. An international agency, as well as other mysterious parties, try to figure out where it came from and what is behind it, as each fragment has an unpredictable effect on those who find it, changing their lives in unexpected and dangerous ways.

Seen a few posts saying this should have been on SyFy. Well SyFy is under NBC's umbrella and SyFy cancels its fair share of good shows as well. After Dark Matter and The Expanse I no longer watch SyFy channel.

NBC has to stop with shows that should be on Syfy. It doesn't work the the demo on NBC. Midnight Texas was another good show that just didn't feel right on NBC but would have been perfect on Syfy.

Nice pairing of actors with their roles in the show. Jonathon Tucker was a great character on Justified, and a good male lead. Riann Steele is not someone I have seen before but was strong as a lead/foil for Jonathon. They had good chemistry together on the screen and could have been outstanding if allowed continuing development. Hopefully this show will be shopped around and find a new partner in the online world. Also had a great actor named Scroobius Pip, who was compellingly evil.

Networks need to realize that if they put Si-Fi shows on they have to accept a smaller audience. Very rarely does one bust into the top 20.I was disappointed in this show but I think it could be salvaged.

No worry, “Debris” will get a much better completely different remake (and possibly even finish) someday in the distant future. I am certain because Debris is such a cool name. It rolls off your tongue.

This makes me so angry! But they will keep the most ridiculous and uninteresting shows. Jonathan Tucker is an outstanding actor & this just sucks!

I watched 1/2 of first episode and knew this wasn't going to make it so I never invested. Maybe someone online will pick it up for the fans.

I’m glad to see this one go. I felt like I was watching the same episode week after week. So boring.

Good or bad, like or disagree: I am SO tired of new shows built around a "MYSTERY" that is never resolved because of cancellation (or, like LOST, is a pile of ____ that the Producers promised would not be the real mystery).

An awful network show gets cancelled, and people freak out. Network television is dead.
