The drama will not return for Season 2.
September 2, 2021
Word is out that The CW has cancelled The Republic of Sarah after just one season. Creator Jeffrey Paul King broke the news on Instagram with a heartfelt note to fans, confirming that next week's episode on September 6 will serve as its series finale.
Set in the tranquil town of Greylock, N.H., the drama follows what happens after a massive vein of a valuable mineral is discovered underneath it. When a mining company moves in with plans to extract the mineral, it threatens to wipe Greylock off the map. High school teacher Sarah Cooper steps up and proposes that the town declares independence, allowing it to gain international sovereignty and protect its land for good.

HA They removed the Instagram photo because the show blew whale balls and they deleted their page account.

My read (stress read) is that this show wasn't trying to convey anything but enough people thought it was trash so it got trashed. The main actress, Stella Baker, is the daughter of Simon Baker and his now ex-wife.

Be woke or Be broke.
Guess this show wasn't liberal enough. Just reflected the attitudes of the right wing extremist. If you don't like the world that fair elections brought just threaten to leave it. The acting and writing could never outweigh the extremism.

Never saw it and don't know if Smoon's comment is just to troll or has merit behind it. If the latter then I agree. It's one thing is an old established show puts out an agenda, because people are still going to watch because they invested years into it. But when a new show comes out and immediately alienates half their target audience, big mistake, of course their ratings will suck and they will get a quick axe. If that was the case here, well deserved cancellation.

I’m so sad to see that show go!! I really loved it and it deserved a 2nd season. It’s another great show gone too soon. The acting and plots were great and original. I hope it’s picked up somewhere else…
