The sci-fi drama will return for Season 2.
October 7, 2021
Apple TV+ announced today that Foundation has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes just two weeks after the sci-fi drama's September premiere. Through its first three episodes, critical reviews have been generally positive, though viewers have given it more of a mixed reception.
Based on Isaac Asimov's novel series of the same name, the show takes place after the fall of the Galactic Empire, where a band of exiles known as The Foundation embark on a monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization.
Look for Season 2 of Foundation in 2023.

The premise is based on the books, though while there are still many of the same characters, their behaviors are different. It can be a little hard to follow, had to rewind a few times to hear something again. My druthers would have been to follow the books a little more closely, because no one has done Foundation on screen before.

I like it ok so far. Some pretty big time jumps so it’s a bit confusing if you’re not paying close attention. The worst part about it is having to wait for each episode to come out every week. Binge watching would make it easier to follow. But I’ll keep watching since it’s pretty good.
