The comedy earns a full season order.
October 26, 2021
ABC announced today that Season 2 of Home Economics has been topped up by nine episodes, giving it a full season's worth of 22. Coming five episodes into its sophomore run, the order significantly expands the episode count compared to Season 1, which aired only seven episodes as a mid-season entry earlier this year.
The half-hour series follows three adult siblings living very different lives. One is living comfortably as one of the 1%, one is part of the middle class, and the other is struggling to get by. Thus their complicated relationship can be heartwarming, super uncomfortable, and often frustrating.

And Caitlin McGee or Karla Sousa look NOTHING like Amanda Peet.. other than they are brunettes. Guess they all look the same to you guys, huh?

... no accounting for taste. I'm frankly amazed anyone finds this show anywhere close to "good". When I'm forced to watch it.... I just feel as if it's blatantly pandering to a specific audience entirely. It's like watching Sesame Street.. but for adults. "here's what you need to learn today, kids."

Glad to hear it! This show has been a major surprise, a pleasant part of my Wednesday evenings.
It all comes down to casting and sharp, witty stories. This series delivers.

Don't know how this show got a second season. The storylines are stupid and just plain boring to watch, ABC must have tweaked the numbers to make this show appear to be doing well.
