CBS has ordered more of the crime scene investigation sequel.
December 15, 2021
CBS announced today that CSI: Vegas has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a week after the crime procedural wrapped its freshman run. The show performed decently for the network, improving its Wednesday time slot viewership by 60% and faring well in delayed viewing.
William Petersen and Jorja Fox reprised their roles as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle for the sequel series, which is set in Las Vegas where it all began. Joined by a brilliant new team of forensic investigators in the crime lab, they utilize new techniques in order to serve justice in Sin City - all while facing an existential threat that could bring down their operation.
Unfortunately Petersen will not be returning to his role for Season 2 of CSI: Vegas, though he will reportedly be staying on as an executive producer. Fox's return is still up in the air, and will be determined at a later date.
Look for Season 2 of CSI: Vegas in the fall of 2022.

Grissom didn't leave after 4 years, but mid-season 9. But yeah, the show has a big history of a changing cast. He wasn't even the first regular to leave.
I actually like the younger CSIs on this show. I dont know why some have issues with them. Jamie McShane makes a decent bad guy too.
@Pat
TV had gone stupid way before George Floyd. Its just after that they focused more on cop related shows and such like Cops and another one cause apparently we cant have TV shows portraying cops as good people or the narrative might fall apart. As you bring up the numbers too, thats inconvenient for them as well. Social media will ban you if you dare to speak the truth like that. Not allowed to break through the propaganda apparently.
Did the same with Batwoman and NCIS.
End the shows for me.
Had the same effect here in England. Changed the actor or character and I switched off.
Since the murder of George Floyd(may he rest in peace), most television and movie studios have lost the plot.
Turning many of us off.
I am a person of colour but the lip service is grinding.
You cannot make it right when it has now done covertly.
