CBS has ordered more of the crime scene investigation sequel.
December 15, 2021
CBS announced today that CSI: Vegas has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a week after the crime procedural wrapped its freshman run. The show performed decently for the network, improving its Wednesday time slot viewership by 60% and faring well in delayed viewing.
William Petersen and Jorja Fox reprised their roles as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle for the sequel series, which is set in Las Vegas where it all began. Joined by a brilliant new team of forensic investigators in the crime lab, they utilize new techniques in order to serve justice in Sin City - all while facing an existential threat that could bring down their operation.
Unfortunately Petersen will not be returning to his role for Season 2 of CSI: Vegas, though he will reportedly be staying on as an executive producer. Fox's return is still up in the air, and will be determined at a later date.
Look for Season 2 of CSI: Vegas in the fall of 2022.

I lived in Las Vegas for 30 years, and watched the original while I lived there. I have to agree that something just feels... off... about this new rendition.
However, like always, I'll give it a few episodes.
I just hope they don't ruin it like so many other new shows with wokeism and personal issues.
The first season was alright. I didn't think it was as good as the original and I didn't care so much for the new woke/agenda pushing with the new cast.
Was great to see the old gang again, but it didn't have the magic of the old series....but I will say I liked all the views of the updated forensics they were employing, that was cool.
I believe Ginger was referring to Emily Deschanel when she mentioned Bones.
David Boreaniz is doing SEAL Team. An awesome show if you dont watch it you should.
