The CSI sequel is ending after three seasons.
April 19, 2024
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled CSI: Vegas after three seasons. The news comes with five episodes left in the crime procedural's now-final run, with its May 19 episode set to be the series ender.
The show has been garnering decent ratings so far this season, but it does rank as one of the least-watched dramas on the network. It appears today's cancellation was needed in order to make room on the schedule for one of its upcoming new dramas slated for the 2024-2025 season.
CSI: Vegas premiered in 2021 as a sequel to the original 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' that ran from 2000-2015. The first season saw William Petersen and Jorja Fox reprise their roles as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle. They were joined by a new team of forensic investigators in the crime lab, utilizing new techniques in order to serve justice in Las Vegas - all while facing an existential threat that could bring down their operation.
Petersen and Fox departed after just one season, though Marg Helgenberger joined the show in Season 2, reprising her role as Catherine Willows. Other characters from the original series have also made appearances.

Glad it's done, the first season was marginally fun/decent despite all the woke nonsense it had mixed up through it. It was good to see older characters come back but it just didn't have the staying power it really needed
Bad writing, bad science, poor plot elements and acting that was often sub-pard all contributed.

Why Why Why do they always get rid of good shows (CBS)?? I understand ratings, but I also believe that your rating scale is off, you really need to redo the way you rate your shows. I know you’re thinking I’m just a fan, but you don’t really reach enough to middle class Americans who love detective shows and how it works like CSI. Please rethink it and keep CSI: Vegas please……………..

Super BUMMED!! Really like this reboot! I was a big fan of the original and thought this one had the same great character vibe. Why are the networks so anxious to cancel everything?

Unfortunate. I thought they out together a decent cast. No, it was never going to be as good as the original. But when I look at the previews of some of these new shows, I don't see much that is better.

They should of explored who the silver symbol writer was and dig in deeper.

The other big problem...other than Paula Newsome's Max, and the quirky forensics girl, the characters aren't very memorable. I honestly don't remember their names, even as I'm typing this. They're pretty bland. Even original flavor CSI had some variety.

This is a good show! I hope cbs has a change of heart or another network gives it a chance.

It was fun for awhile, but like the original you very quickly start repeating yourself. Three seasons is actually a pretty good run these days.

OOH, I hope they replace it with an Elsbeth spin-off. Can't stay on the air without weird characters!

Nostalgia will only carry a show so far.
I also think they brought back the wrong CSI, but David Caruso is happy being a rich art dealer, so that show will never be back.
