The reality series is back later this month.
February 11, 2022
Discovery Channel has announced that Naked and Afraid has been picked up for a 14th season. The news comes five months after the reality series finished its most-recent 6-episode run. The wait for its return won't be a long one, as a premiere date has already been set for February 27.
Each episode of the show follows two survivalists who just met, and together they work to survive in a remote location for 21 days. The partners must procure means of shelter, food, water, and clothing within their environment. Season 14 promises new locations, more diverse survivalists, and unexpected challenges at every turn.

Is it repetitive? Yeah, especially with the overconfident first time survivalists making the same dumb mistakes. There is also "stunt casting" where the producers seem to match two people who are bound to clash.
But over the seasons there have come into being a core group of repeat survivalists who have become legendary. Each time they tackle a challenge they come up with better ways of surviving. The 40+ day challenges are the best part of the series.
When the series first started I kept wondering how humanity ever survived before we had technology. But some of these repeat survivalists not only survive but now flourish.

It’s a paid cable channel, yet all “nude” is blurred.
Stay true to your title or take it off the air.

Why? It's repetitive and boring. The "ooh maybe there's nudity" marketing ploy was dispelled more than a decade ago.
