No Season 3 for the superhero drama.
April 26, 2022
Word is out that Raising Dion has been cancelled by Netflix after two seasons. Cast member Sammi Haney took to social media with the sad news, which comes three months after the superhero drama released its sophomore run.
The series premiered in 2019 and was well received by both critics and audiences. It also made the streaming service's Top 10 list of its most-popular titles of the year, including being named as its #1 kids & family series. The show was renewed in early 2020 but took two years to make its return for its now-final eight-episode outing.
Based on the 2015 comic book and short film of the same name, Raising Dion follows widowed mother Nicole Reese, who is struggling to raise her only child, Dion. But her young boy unknowingly possesses emerging powers that are beyond comprehension, leading Nicole to investigate the mystery surrounding her son's newfound gifts while keeping them under wraps.

Oh thanks Netflix, it not like I didn't want to know how or why there was a time jump or whatever at the end of season 2 smh

There were elements and episodes of this show I liked, I thought Season 1 was much better than Season 2. It's unfortunate it threw so many woke elements into and then seemed to double down for season 2, which was far, far more inferior. And then re-treading the villian after he tried to redeemhelf, only to be slapped down with the woke elements, like the audience, left a sour taste after it was all done.
It had so much poential and was wasted.

I really liked this show and hoped to see it jump forward another few years with Dion in his teenage years. This makes show number 8 that I was watching in the last year that Netflix cancelled. But losing 200,000 subscribers is really nothing when Netflix has almost 3 million subscribers. I stopped watching new Netflix shows and am only watching shows with a number of seasons already. That way I won’t get disappointed when they cancel yet another show. Their cancellation rate is 2 out of 3 new shows!

I'm not supriced. I like season 1, but after 2-3 episodes of season 2, I just gave up. It was more of the same and the story was boring.
There are so many other shows on netlix I will miss after they got cancelled instead of this one...

The show was just fine.
Except for that racist b-yotch sister of hers.
Jason Ritter and Michael B Jordan are both good actors.

Netflix just loves pissing people off and raising their prices on the few crap shows they choose to keep!! I am about to be a number in that 200,000 subscriber that has unsubscribed!!
