It was announced today that Queer Eye has been picked up for Season 7. The good news comes four months after the reality series released its 10-episode sixth season.
An updated version of the 2003 original, the series has been enjoying a successful resurgence since its return to television in 2018. Queer Eye, or 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' as it was first known, ran for four seasons on Bravo before it was cancelled in 2007. A decade later, the Netflix revival edition of the lifestyle-focused series features a new 'Fab Five' with expertise in fashion, culture, grooming, design, and food & wine.
The streaming service has slowed down the frequency of seasons in recent years. Queer Eye released two seasons plus a special in each of its first two years. 2020 and 2021 saw only one season each, and the show will likely only see one season in 2022 as well.
