It's official: True Detective is coming back for a fourth season. HBO today announced that True Detective: Night Country has been ordered; the news coming more than three years after the crime anthology series aired its third season.
A new installment has been rumored to be in development for some time now, but today's announcement confirms it, along with providing some details about the storyline. Season 4 will follow the disappearance of six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station in Ennis, Alaska. Jodie Foster and Kali Reis will play detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro, who are assigned to the case. Together they will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.

Well I did enjoy the other ones, but the first and third season were better than 2...hopefully this one comes out fine.

I liked the first season very much. Season 2 was just OK. Couldn't even finish Season 3. So honestly can't say I am looking forward to Season 4.

Furst and third were great. The Second was ok but disliked by some. Fourth sounds really interesting. Alaska has its own triangle. With something like thirty thousand vanished people since 1980. Not even bones found usually. Even a five person research team from 1988 vanished with one showing up frozen solid in a tree. This was five years later and she was up on high enough at the treeline on y A mountain preserved. Her note said that a pack of wolves ate the other four.

I am so excited to see Kali Reis in the new season! Catch the Fair One was a fantastic film and it made me want to see her in more dark crime dramas. Hope it turns out well!
