HBO has set a premiere date for Season 4 of True Detective. It has been nearly five years since the anthology crime drama aired its third season, and over a year since the cable network confirmed that a new installment titled 'Night Country' was in development.
Premiering on Sunday, January 14, 2024, the six-episode series will follow the disappearance of eight men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station in Ennis, Alaska. Jodie Foster and Kali Reis will play detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro, who are assigned to the case. Together they will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.

I love this show, the first season is by far, the best season I also enjoyed the cast was awesome & the story line was best so far, many complain about drop off on the second season also a top quality cast the story wasn’t as dark as season 1 the cast made up for the change in the storyline, season 3 goes back to the dark storyline the cast is good a mix of newbies & top notch thespian’s academy award winning & nominated actors I enjoyed it it was hard to predict the outcome to the very end! What I really enjoy are the actors are different every season the story in unpredictable and completely different from the last we need more shows of this quality

The casting for this show has always been strong. Jodie Foster is interesting. But a boxer with one other credit to her name? I do not get it. Also, police usually do not have facial studs or neck tattoos. I know many police officers, none having many tattoos and none with facial jewelry of any kind. I do not think any I know have earrings.

Foster always kills it with her strong voice but I couldn't watch Kali Reis (professional boxer) (or anyone) with facial studs so I'll never see this.
