The Nancy Drew spin-off will not return for Season 2.

Word is out that The CW has cancelled Tom Swift, the news coming just five episodes into the drama's run. On the air since May 31, the show has struggled to find an audience on Tuesday nights. As of now, the network still plains to air its remaining episodes as scheduled.
A spin-off of 'Nancy Drew', the series follows the titular character, a charming and brilliant inventor with unlimited resources. His world is turned upside down after his father disappears, which thrusts him into an adventure full of conspiracies and unexplained phenomena. While on his quest to reveal the truth, Tom finds himself up against an Illuminati-scale cabal that wants to stop him at all costs.

I stuck through five episodes and gave up. I loved the books as a kid. This is was not them at all. Look, I’m gay and don’t want a show like this, and that says something. I am so weary of CW believing people need shows that hit all the “categories” of Inclusion. I’ve gotten tired of most CW shows and have been bowing out from many of them because of them. I had high hopes for this show but it seriously crashed and burned big time.

Watched the first episode, absolute woke racist rubbish.

I never got past the description blurb when "Tom Swift" was introduced. Years of finely honed TV instincts warned me the show didn't have any acquaintance or understanding of the source books.

They Should've followed the book storylines instead of having to have the gay crap and all. The books NEVER had, or needed, anything referencing sex in any way. Every damn show these days think they have to have all this gay crap. I've quit watching it. If I start a show and they start with the gay crap, CLICK and the show is off - I'm not watching it!! Could have been a good show if they had followed the books and quit trying to make everything about race and gay.

Great plot but they messed it up with to much of being gay then the real story of eventing things and finding dad. Hopefully someone picks it up with better actors and a better story.
