The 'Game of Thrones' prequel will return for a second season.

HBO announced today that House of the Dragon has been renewed for Season 2. The early pickup comes after a record-breaking start to the prequel series; its premiere episode on Sunday garnered the largest audience for an original show in network history.
Based on George R.R. Martin's 'Fire & Blood' novel, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of 'Game of Thrones,' which concluded in 2019 after an 8-year run. The series chronicles the story of House Targaryen, including the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, aka the 'Dance of the Dragons', and the war that erupted over control of the legendary Iron Throne.

You either know what happens to every character or the character is too unimportant to the world of GOT to continue after this series.

Great news but totally expected. I would have been shocked if they didn't continue this for a while.
