CBS orders another round of the firefighter drama.

CBS announced today that Fire Country has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes ahead of tonight's return from its winter break.
The Friday series premiered in October and got off to a solid start. After its first two episodes averaged over 8 million viewers, the network quickly ordered more episodes to extend its freshman run to a full season.
In Fire Country, a young convict named Bode Donovan is looking for redemption and a shortened prison sentence, so he joins a firefighting program that brings him back to his small hometown in Northern California where he and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish huge blazes across the region.
Look for Season 2 of Fire Country this fall as part of the 2023-2024 season.

This is welcomed news. Seems like the majority of good shows don't last long and supbar shows go on for years. Max Theriot has been good for a long time and this show is hot! (lol).

I cannot get into this show. Way too many subplots. Way too many characters. I love SWAT and Blue Bloods, and I guess it fits between those shows well. I do not argue with Max Theriot being really good in everything. Just not for me.

I'm guessing that now that they know they are coming back next season, were going to get a cliffhanger ending in May. Really hope CBS keeps the same lineup of shows on Fridays next season. It is a really solid night of television.

Tried to like this show because I'm a big Max Theriot fan but the storylines were too absurd and the acting was subpar.
