The animated drama's planned second season is axed.

It is being reported by Deadline that AMC+ has cancelled Pantheon after one season. The cable network has scrapped plans to air the animated drama's planned second season despite production already being completed.
The move appears to be related to AMC Networks' previously announced $400M of cost-cutting on content. A similar situation occurred with '61st Street' a few days ago and 'Moonhaven' last month. With Season 2 of Pantheon already produced, it's possible that the show could resurface on another platform in the future.
Based on a collection of short stories by award-winning author Ken Liu, Pantheon follows a bullied teen who has been receiving help from a mysterious stranger online that is revealed to be her recently deceased father. This is possible because his consciousness was uploaded to the cloud following an experimental destructive brain scan. He is the first of a new kind of being – known as an "Uploaded Intelligence" – but he won't be the last, as a global conspiracy has begun that threatens to ignite a new kind of world war.

why did my comment get deleted? since when does this site moderate the comments... my comment was directed at the person yelling for someone to f'ing air the remaining shows, to calm down. Maybe name calling? if I were to make the same comment I would call myself a psycho.

Produce two seasons at once. If one bombs. Sell it off to a network to run it.
NO NO NO. DON'T EXPECT IT TO GET PICKED UP.Does anyone on this forum think about how you renegotiatiate every actors contracts, try to call uhaul to move set pieces, find your own advertizers...

That's too bad. I was enjoying this show. I hope the already completed 2nd season does pop up on a different platform.
