CBS announced today that NCIS: Hawai'i has been picked up for a third season. The move is no surprise, as the spin-off drama has continued to be a solid performer through the first part of its sophomore run.
The latest entry in the naval franchise, the show follows the first female in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor and her skilled team of mainland transplants and knowledgeable locals. Together they focus on investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of the island itself.
Look for Season 3 of NCIS: Hawai'i this fall as part of the 2023-2024 season.

Second, anyone who thinks the male characters don't get time to shine has missed the absolute badass tank of a character that is Kai (and his friendship with Jane), and the tech guy Ernie constantly solving problems that might even stump Abby on original NCIS.
That said, I do think the NCIS formula is done. It's time to retire it. But you are all weirdos when it comes to basic equality on fictional shows.
