It is being reported that East New York has been cancelled by CBS after one season. The news comes ahead of this Sunday's season finale, which will now serve as the series ender.
The procedural drama follows Regina Haywood, the newly promoted deputy inspector of East New York, a working-class neighborhood of Brooklyn. She leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to utilize her creative methods of law enforcement during the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification.

I really like this show. It's one of the best on TV. I hope it gets picked up by another network.

This is a really good show, for once! Regina is awesome as a character as are others! Get rid of the reality junk and keep this please!

East New York is an EXCELLENT program with a terrific cast! I am so excited on Sundays to watch this show flowing Equalizer. Both shows highlight black women & other minority actors in dynamic roles. This is a real head scratcher! Why is CBS canceling a shoe that has such a large following? I am sooooo disappointed

I would rather see "Swat" get canceled then "East New York".
Once again cancele the good shows and keep the bads ones.

I agree I love that show it gets cancelled but farmer wants wife stays or fletch come on east New York had great actors and interesting storylines if was for blue bloods being on that channel I stop watching cbs or this mistake

I am so tired of great shows being cancelled and really dumb ones continually being renewed. I really love this show and Don't understand why it's being cancelled after only one season. Why? It has a great cast and great storylines. Why Don't you start looking at the boring shows and cancel them.

Why is this show being cancelled? It wasn't suppose to be cancelled! But after the SWAT lead actor complained so much CBS bent to there knees and have in. Thats ok NBC has many shows that are much better than SWAT. Oh also I think CBS is racist to the Mexican people Jimmy Smits who is a VERY GOOD ACTOR has had 3 shows only got one season, tell me thats not racist.
