It is being reported that East New York has been cancelled by CBS after one season. The news comes ahead of this Sunday's season finale, which will now serve as the series ender.
The procedural drama follows Regina Haywood, the newly promoted deputy inspector of East New York, a working-class neighborhood of Brooklyn. She leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to utilize her creative methods of law enforcement during the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification.

im sick of all the reality tv,,everytime you turn around there is a new reallity show,,pretty soon, it will be all reality shows,who cares about keeping up with the joneses,,or who dating who,,us older people like to watch tv,,and all these great shows they cancle i really enjoyed east ny,,im hoping some one else picks it up,,im through with cbs not watching no new shows they have no more,,

Big mistake! East New York is entertaining, well written, and well acted. If anyone has scrolled through the full Shows menu from A-Z, there are useless shows available. The Ben of they’re old it must cost to keep them by available. Let them go and opt for the programming viewers want to see…like East New York.

I am extremely disappointed... I love this show and many that were canceled this year.. 50 plus people are the ones paying cable/network bread and butter... we don't want stupid reality shows.... we want smart programing and writers... may be time to throw in towel and just stream.

Another good show cancelled. There are fewer shows left on CBS worth watching, focus seems to be on reality shows. If ratings are the problem, perhaps try putting the show on another night - Sunday shows are usually delayed because of sports coverage, and makes it very difficult to know when to tune in (starting with 60 minutes and the entire evening). Please try it on another night with a set start time!!

I really love this show. We need more shows like this not less. We need less real-life shows that is cut from the same script.

im about ready to boycot cbs,im defiantly not picking up no more new shows on cbs,,east new york is one of my favorite showss,excellent actors,,i hope another channel picks it up,,but im seriously thinking of giving up watching cbs,if they dont change their minds

CBS is making Survivor & Amazing Race 90 minutes each on Wednesday. Smart for the network, but I find Amazing Race hard to watch for an hour. I usually watch the beginning and fast forward to the end. Also, CBS could put East New York Wednesday at 10pm. P.S. ABC could use a cop show that isn't silly. Rookie Feds? Please!

IM SO DISSAPOINTED . Why don't they cancel some other crap..Blue bloods has run its course already..I still watch it..but ENY has been really good. Great cast...esp the stories with the detectives..and the beat cops...Bring it back CBS...
