There is an update to report on Warrior Nun's return from cancellation. It has been a month-and-a-half since creator Simon Barry announced that the show had been saved, and now we know what form that will take.
In a video posted on warriornunsaved.com, Executive Producer Dean English broke the news that the fantasy drama is coming back as a trilogy of motion pictures. He did not elaborate, citing the ongoing Hollywood writers and actors strikes. He did divulge, though, that it is possible that the feature films could pave the way for an expansion of the universe into additional movies and TV series.
Based on the manga-style comics by Ben Dunn, Warrior Nun follows orphaned teenager Ava, who wakes up in a morgue with unexplainable powers. As she searches for answers, Ava realizes she is part of a secret society of warrior nuns, known as The Order of the Cruciform Sword, who are sworn to protect the world from evil. Now caught in the middle of an ancient war between good and evil, Ava has a new set of responsibilities as the chosen one.

Loved this show, it sucks they cancelled it. I am so glad they saved it in the form of movies.

I’m actually pretty excited for this trilogy of films. Maybe it can finish out well.

@mc ... season 2.. was NOWHERE as good as season 1.. S2 was rather boring overall and written VERY sloppily.

I unexpectedly enjoyed season 1, but it was cancelled before I got around to season 2. This is good news, but I think I'll wait until the first film is out before I catch up on s2. Fool me once...

yeah.. jut want viewers are clamoring for..... another "universe" of repetitive content. Whatever happened to just writing good stories and then letting them be - as opposed to milking every concept until it's so played out it becomes a joke.

I hope its true but with the writers strike it could just be a bunch of BS to shut up the fans and then they will make some excuse at a later date why it just didnt work out..
