The CW drama will conclude in 2024.
November 2, 2023
The CW announced today that Superman & Lois will be coming to an end after its upcoming fourth season. The 10-episode final run, which was ordered back in June, is slated to air sometime in 2024.
"Over the last three seasons, Superman & Lois redefined both the superhero genre and family drama as Tyler, Elizabeth and the entire cast effortlessly portrayed these classic characters with new layers of depth and complexity that had never before been explored in the Superman universe," said Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment, The CW Network. "We are grateful for the years of hard work and graceful storytelling from the show's writers, producers, actors and crew, as well as our terrific partners at Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions. As Superman embarks on his final flight, the team is leaving us with an absolutely epic 10-episode must-watch-every-minute farewell to one of the most legendary CW families ever."
Based on the well-known DC Comics characters, the series offers a different take on the superhero genre. After spending years fighting supervillains and alien invaders, the Man of Steel, aka Clark Kent, and Lois Lane are now dealing with one of their greatest challenges: being working parents in today's society and wondering whether their sons could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers. Returning to Smallville to handle some family business, Clark and Lois become reacquainted with Lana Lang, who is now married. Also, Lois' father is looking for Superman to take down a villain or save the day at a moment's notice.

Elizabeth Tulloch does not have cancer, only Lois did.
It's too bad the show is ending, but you knew the writing was on the wall with the cast being let go and the station being sold and programming being changed. At least they are going to let it end properly for the fans.
thank you for that and thank you for a decent superman show.

Main actress may not survive 2024 to record season 5 so it makes sense. Was the cancer arc because she really had cancer?

This is kind of predictable since they let more than half of the cast go. The first season was great. The second season was doable, but the third season was very hard to watch.

This always happens when they get a high exec like James Gunn, especially when he's a Marvel exec too, you keep doing this and their not going to make anymore shows, it's because of whose in office and all this price hike, and shows can't afford it like they use to, but they should end it better never leave cliffhangers on the end of the finale, because people get upset with it, they need more sponsors on shows to help them out but when it changes hands that changes shows, they are basicing shows on reality and they keep doing that they'll fail, just like the new CSI, that came back on, it's not going to be long before it's gone again and it won't last like the other one, but shows are always doomed on the CW

No huge loss but overall I liked the show. Now with this gone the CW is off my watch list. Nothing left worth watching. I was hoping for the prequel to the 100 was going to happen but it never did. Once Supernatural went off the air the CW was doomed.

Superman & Lois -- like every DC show started out pretty amazing, but -- like every other DC show, it quickly became more about making sure that everyone on the cast had equal screen and storylines than it was about the main characters.
They didn't get as bad as Arrow or Supergirl where every single NPC just HAD to have or gain their own powers and be part of the "Superfriends", but like every other DC show, it HAS gone downhill since the premiere.
The best of the DC CW Universe being Smallville all those years ago...

That’s a very big mistake to cancel a great show after 4 seasons!!! They’re just getting to know Superboy!!!! It’s just not right!!!!!! Keep it on the air!!!!
